Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns will again lead another charge by South African clubs to rule the continent when the CAF Champions League preliminary rounds get underway this weekend.

The South African Premier Soccer League (PSL) is one of the richest leagues on the continent, but only Orlando Pirates have been crowned African champions and that was as far back as 1995.
