National Jasiri team is optimistic of defending the Mombasa Open Tog Il Moo Do tournament title for the 10th consecutive year.

Team captain Elvis Malipe said they have prepared well for the tournament that starts tomorrow with preliminary matches.

The tournament, which will be held at the Aga Khan multi-purpose hall in Mombasa, will end on Sunday. "We have been undergoing strenuous training sessions since Monday this week at the Light Academy in Nyali and the players are in top form.

We shall field a strong team of 50 players to ensure we win most of the medals and retain the overall title," said Malipe. [Ernest Ndunda]
