West Ham banned from wearing special kit for FA Cup crushing against Manchester City

West Ham were forced to scrap a special FA Cup kit as the logo was too big, according to the Sun.

The club announced to the fans they would wear a special Thames Ironworks navy blue strip for their cup campaign.

However, regular kit was used for their 5-0 loss to Manchester City on Friday.

It has now been affirmed the Thames Ironworks equip repudiated FA controls.

Hammers vice-chairman Karren Brady tweeted: “It’s a shame as we love that kit.”
