Ebwali Secondary School are the new national secondary school football boy's champions.
The Western Region heavyweights defeated Highway Secondary School from Nairobi 1-0 in a final staged at the Nakuru Boys High School on Monday to win their maiden national gong.
Tom Osekio scored the lone goal of the match to gift Ebwali victory.
Ebwali advanced to the finals of the national school games with a 100 per cent win record after winning all their games including a 3-1 win over Highway in the Group stages.
Ebwali from the Western region beat Rift Valley's Kabarnet Boys 1-0 to book a place in the final.
Calvin Otieno was the hero of the match after scoring the lone goal.
On the other hand, Highway had a long route to the final after going through a gruelling semifinal against Nyanza region representatives Kisumu Day High School which ended in a 4-2 shootout victory for the Nairobi representatives.
Elsewhere, Wiyeta Girls High School claimed their 10th national school games title after beating Dagoretti Mixed High School 4-1 on post-match penalties after a barren draw in the final
Wiyeta booked a place in the final following an emphatic 6-0 win over Igito Girls High School which was a repeat of the Western Region final.
Dagoretti Mixed on the other hand edged out St. Maurice Mwira High School 1-0 in the other semifinal.
Both Wiyeta and Dagoretti will represent Kenya in Tanzania when the East Africa games kick off alongside Ebwali and Highway.
