Kakamega Homeboyz and defending champions Tusker will resume their race to win the 2021-2022 FKF Premier League title this weekend even as uncertainty continues to cloud the management of Kenyan football.

Yesterday, Sports Cabinet Secretary Amina Mohamed appointed a Transition Committee to manage football activities in the country for the next five weeks.

The Committee will now embark on ensuring this weekend’s fixtures across all divisions go on as planned.

But moments later, Kariobangi Sharks released a statement saying that they will not honour today’s match against AFC Leopards.

In Kakamega, Gor Mahia face off with Talanta at Bukhungu Stadium as third-placed Bandari welcome relegation-threatened Vihiga Bullets.

The dockers are third with 50 points, six points behind leaders Homeboyz.

However, Anthony Kimani’s charges will be meeting a changed Vihiga side who have only lost once in their last six-matches as they continue to push for survival.

“We know it is not going to be easy against Vihiga. They are fighting relegation which makes them even more dangerous heading into this particular match,” said Bandari’s Kimani.

Tomorrow, Tusker will tackle Nairobi City Stars as they seek to continue with their push for the title while wounded Homeboyz welcome KCB.
