Former champions Gor Mahia on Saturday stretched their unbeaten run in the 2021-2022 Football Kenya Federation Premier League to four games after a narrow 1-0 win over Sofapaka at the Moi Sports Complex, Kasarani.

Burundian import Jules Ulimwengu hit the target early on in the game to hand the record Kenyan champions their fourth win of the campaign.

Gor has so far defeated heavy teams in KCB, Kariobangi Sharks, AFC Leopards and now Sofapaka.

The win also propelled Gor to the summit of the 18-team league with 12 points temporarily with closest rivals Kakamega Homeboyz playing tomorrow.

The defeat was Sofapaka’s third of the new campaign and leaves them 11th with four points after five matches.

Elsewhere, Nairobi City Stars came from behind to hold hosts Posta Rangers to a 1-1 draw in an early kick off match played at Thika Stadium.

Brian Marita gave Rangers the lead in the 36th minute before Anthony Kimani ensured City Stars share the spoils with a goal at the hour mark.

The draw leaves City Stars temporarily second in the log with 10 points accumulated from five matches.

Rangers on the other hand are seventh with seven points.
