Liverpool defender sentenced to free labour

Liverpool defender Jon Flanagan has been sentenced to a 12-month community order which will include 15 rehabilitation activity days, 40 hours of unpaid work, £85 costs and an £85 victim surcharge for assaulting his girlfriend, Ms. Rachael Wall on Duke Street in Liverpool city Centre at around 3.20am on Friday, December 22, the day Liverpool played their 3-3 draw with Arsenal at The Emirates.

On 2 January 2018, the court adjourned the case to today January 17, where Flanagan was sentenced by District Judge Wendy Lloyd who said she had been given a breakdown of CCTV of the incident, which showed Flanagan assaulting his partner on several occasions and kicking her at one point.
