Eni Kenya: a licensed operator to collect used cooking oils

Hotels, restaurants, catering, food processing companies and food delivery platforms: all these players can correctly dispose their used cooking oils (UCO) together with a partner such as Eni Kenya complying the local regulations.

Eni Kenya is among the operators licensed by the National Environmental Management Authority (NEMA) to collect UCO and adheres to the ISCC-EU sustainability certification scheme to provide clear traceability of the collected product.

The UCO collection is part of a circular economy project that has been launched in Kenya to manage a waste such as UCO and prevent its dispersal in the environment and improper reuse. Once collected, the oil can have a second chance and be transformed into biofuels.

All the HORECA industry operator involved in the Eni Kenya supply chain for UCO collection are meant to receive a financial contribution for the waste they make available.
