Kenya's Daniel Wanyonyi overcame Tanzanian showboating pugilist Karim 'Mtu Kazi' Mandonga in their epic rematch staged at the Sarit Expo Center in Nairobi on Saturday night.
Wanyonyi was unanimously awarded by the three judges 100-80, 100-80 and 100-89 to carry the night.
Mandonga kissed the canvas twice as Wanyonyi went down once in the thrilling 10 round Light heavyweight fight.
"Today, Wanyonyi won fair and square, I just want a rematch," Mandonga admitted.
Wanyonyi thanked his legion of fans for the victory stating their presence motivated him to win.
"I'm ready for a rematch any time this is possible, today I didn't want a knock out, I was just entertaining my fans, next I'll clear him with knock out," stated Wanyonyi.
Both fighters had pledged before the match to send each other to the canvas with their trade mark jabs.
Sensational Mandonga has a well curved blow, which he has upgraded from the terrific Ukraine's Sungunyo to the offensive Russian Kinguki.
On the other hand, former African Boxing Union champion Wanyonyi will be unleash his 'doctor prohibited' Dusla blow on the showboating Mandonga.
