Ingredient of the week: Coriander leaves

Coriander leaves or commonly known as Dhania is a common cooking spice that you will find in most if not all kitchens in the country.

Due to its pungent smell and savory taste, it can be used to garnish a number of dishes to enhance their tastes and flavours.

Although its main origin is not known, this spice has since become a popular kitchen addition not to mention how easily and readily available it is.

Coriander as a culinary spice can be used to prevent food poisoning, keep salads and guacamole fresh not to mention the perfect curry garnishing.

Other than in food, coriander is also useful in making fragrances for various soaps and cosmetics.
