Harambee Stars defender Eric Ouma suffers injury in training with his Swedish club

Harambee Stars defender Eric Ouma on Friday morning suffered an injury during their training with his Swedish club AIK and will undergo surgery today.

According to Ouma’s club AIK, the 23-year-old, who recently inked a four-year deal with the club from IF Vasalund,  sustained an injury and is set to be out for a few weeks.

“During Friday's training at Karlberg, Erick Otieno was injured and he will be taken for operation on Saturday which is expected to keep him out of play for about 6-8 weeks according to the first reports,” read a statement on the club website.

Ouma also took to Twitter to update his followers about the injury. He shared a photo of himself lying in a hospital bed with a caption that read; 

 

In a recent interview with Game Yetu, Marcelo revealed that he almost quit playing while at FC Kolkheti Poti in Georgia after struggling to cope with a recurring hamstring injury in 2017.
