Ex- WWE superstar Shad Gaspard goes missing after being swept out to sea while swimming with his son

Former WWE Wrestler Shad Gaspard Missing

Former WWE superstar Shad Gaspard is missing after he was swept out to sea while swimming in California.

The 39-year-old was in a group of swimmers who were pulled into a rip current at Venice Beach, on Sunday.

Lifeguards leaped in to save them and managed to rescue his son, however Gaspard was the only one who went under.

According to TMZ, Gaspard instructed rescuers to save his son— which they did —before another large wave crashed down. 

This was the last time he was seen.

Divers scoured the area, while helicopters searched from above for more than three hours.

Gaspard's wife Siliana remained on the beach and was seen staring out into the ocean while the coast guard conducted a search.

Venice Beach has only just reopened after the coronavirus pandemic.

Gaspard made his WWE debut in 2003 before making his final television appearance on Smackdown in 2010.

After leaving WWE, he pursued an acting career and has appeared in films “Think Like a Man Too” and “The Last Sharknado: It’s About Time,” according to imdb.
