The final second leg ties in the UEFA Champions League round of 16 are set to be played next week, with plenty on the line. On Tuesday evening (12 March) Juventus host Atletico Madrid looking to overturn a 2-0 deficit from the first leg, while the following evening Barcelona host Lyon and Bayern Munich welcome Liverpool – both first leg matches ended goalless.

First things first

Before you go any further, head on over to the Oddsshark website, find your favourite betting site and get your own account up and running using your credit card. As a new customer and with the Champions League now in the knock-out stage, there should be a wide range of promotions and special offers available to you.

Where should I be investing my money?

First up, the clash between Juventus and Atletico Madrid. The Old Lady sit 16 points clear at the top of Serie A but they have the proverbial mountain to climb in this tie, having lost 2-0 at the Wanda Metropolitano last month.

And Atletico come into this tie in excellent form, having won their last four matches in a row across all competitions. They are the favourites to progress at just 1.25, while Juventus are out at 4.00 to make it through to the last eight, and are now out at 17.00 to win the Champions League this season.

With home advantage however, it is Juventus who are the clear favourites to win this second leg tie. You can back the Italian giants to do so at just 1.66, while Atletico are out at 5.25 to claim victory on the road – a draw is priced in the middle at 3.60, according to Oddsshark.

And we believe this match could well end up honours even. A 1-1 draw is priced at 7.00, meaning that a US$5 bet would lead to a US$35 payout, while you can double your money by backing both teams to score at 2.00.

Barcelona host Lyon looking for a resounding win

The following evening, Barcelona welcome Lyon to the Camp Nou having managed to secure a goalless draw in France in the first leg. Barça are seven points clear at the top of La Liga and are looking for continental glory as well – they are at just 5.00 to win the Champions League this season.

Lyon certainly look to have their work cut out for them. They are out at 4.50 to go through this tie, while Barcelona are at just 1.18 to make it safely into the quarter-finals.

And it is indeed Barcelona who come into this return encounter as the clear favourites to win. You can back the Catalan giants to pick up the victory at just 1.22, while Lyon are all the way out at 12.00 to record what would be a shock victory on the road – a draw is priced in the middle at 6.00.

This should be a comfortable evening for Barça. A 3-1 win for the home side is priced competitively at 10.00, thereby offering a ten-fold return on any investment, while you can more than double your money by backing a combo bet of a Barcelona win, coupled with both teams to score, at 2.50.

Liverpool look to pull off win in Munich

And finally, Liverpool travel to Bayern Munich looking for the win to take them into the last eight. The first leg ended goalless and it is all to play for at the Allianz Arena.

Bayern sit second in the Bundesliga and are out at 11.00 to win the Champions League this season. Liverpool also sit second in the Premier League and are priced at just 5.00 to repeat their feat of last year and reach the final of this continental competition.

And it is indeed Liverpool who are the slight favourites to go through this tie at 1.80, while Bayern are a little higher at 1.95 to do the same. It is very much all to play for.

And while the betting is close for this second leg, Bayern remain the favourites to win. You can more than double your money by backing the German giants at 2.05, while Liverpool are out at 3.30 to do the same – a draw would appear to be the least likely outcome and is priced accordingly at 3.60.

And we think Liverpool could just about edge this clash. A narrow, 2-1 win for the Reds is priced at 10.00, while a combo bet of a Liverpool win, coupled with both teams to score, iss at 6.00.
