John Terry will reportedly return to Chelsea as the club's Under 23 manager.

The former Blues captain has been out of the game since leaving Aston Villa at the end of last season.

He turned down a move to Spartak Moscow at the 11th hour and has also been linked with a move to Derby who are managed by Terry's former teammate Frank Lampard.

But according to The Sun, Terry will sign a deal worth £800,000 a year to return to Stamford Bridge.

He will replace Jody Morris who has left to join Lampard at the Rams.

Terry is expected to complete his return when he has finished his coaching badges.

The 37-year-old has been in Paris this weekend to watch Europe take an 8-4 lead over the USA in the Ryder Cup.

Terry's old side were held to a 1-1 draw by Liverpool on Saturday.

Eden Hazard scored against Jurgen Klopp's side for the second time this week and looked to have secured all three points.

But substitute Daniel Sturridge produced a wonder strike to earn the visitors a point.
