Kenya is set to play Ghana in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier at the Moi International Sports Complex Karasani on September 8th.

Harambee Stars head coach Sébastien Migné head coach has already named a 38-man provisional squad, with some big names included.

Bandari’s Farouk Shikalo and Zambia-based Ian Otieno have received call-ups alongside Maritzburg United’s Brian Mandela, Paul Were and Belgium –based Johanna Omollo.

Local-based players will reports to camp on 2nd September while the others will link up with the squad on 3rd.

Ghana will kick off preparations on September 3rd in Addis Ababa without three stars names. Jordan Ayew, Andrew Ayew and target-man Asamoah Gyan were omitted from the Ghanaian travelling squad.

However, Former Juventus left-back (now at Inter Milan) Kwadwo Asamoah has received a national team call-up for the first time in four years.

Kenya sit third in Group D with zero points after one match, having suffered a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Sierra Leone. Ghana, on the other hand, lead the standings after a resounding 5-0 win over Ethiopia.
