Former Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has revealed the only problem Jose Mourinho had with him during his career at Old Trafford as he opened up on his relationship with the former Chelsea manager.

The Swede left United for LA Galaxy last month after spending more than 18 months with the Red Devils.

However, it was not the first time the 36-year-old played under Jose as they were both together at Inter Milan and had a close relationship from then on.

Zlatan praised Mourinho for giving him the chance to prove himself and making him feel comfortable. He also revealed that the problem the United boss had with him was finding the perfect time to rest him as he was important for the team.

He was quoted by The Mirror saying, "I like Mourinho. He is the Special One.

“He likes to win. Wherever he went he won. He made me feel comfortable. He gave me a lot of responsibility.

“He said to me the only problem he had with me was when could he rest me.

“They’ve been doing it good. Let’s hope, there’s one last trophy to play for, and that’s the FA Cup. So hopefully they win it."

Ibrahimovic is proud of his first season at Old Trafford as he managed to win the Community Shield, EFL and the Europa League with the club and believes United proved themselves to be a to a club.

"Last year we had a big success with the three trophies with a new team like that, new coach, couple of new players.

"And hopefully that rings on, because as a top team, like United, you need to keep winning, because that is the status of the club.

"You need to win. And if you’re not winning, you’re not belonging to the top."

The former PSG star scored a brace in his debut for LA Galaxy and helped his side make a remarkable 4-3 come-back over rivals Los Angeles.
