Chelsea Coach Antonio Antonio Conte has revealed that Spanish striker Alvaro Morata will miss their clash with newly promoted premier league side Huddersfield tonight. Antonio Conte’s men will be aiming to bounce back after a disappointing 1-0 loss against West Ham on Saturday, which left them 14 points adrift of the league leaders Manchester City.

Speaking to the media in a pre-match briefing, Conte said that Morata picked a minor injury and also feels exhausted for the midweek clash.

Belgian forward Michy Batshuayi could step in to fill the void left by Morata against ‘resurging’ Huddersfield. However, a 3-4-3 format where Eden Hazard could lead the line flanked by Pedro and Willian is also thought to be possible.

Blues have lost 4 games in 16 matches played, and have had their hopes to retain the EPL title dashed. Conte recently conceded that they cannot successfully challenge to retain the title. He however, said that his team will focus on other trophies as well as getting a champions league spot.

The Italian is reported to be under immense pressure from Chelsea’s hierarchy after the disappointing performances that extinguished their bid to retain the title. He has however, lamented having thinner squad-an excuse that the management has refused to buy.

Huddersfield on the other hand will has had quite impressive campaign where they sit 12thy on the log with 18 points. They won their last game against Brighton with 2-0 after going on a 4 game losing streak.
