Manchester United flop Memphis Depay hasn't given up hope of playing at the very top level.

And the 23-year-old Dutch winger is setting his sights high - revealing he has a 'realistic' ambition to play for Real Madrid.

Depay was sold to Lyon by United in January after failing to make the grade at Old Trafford, scoring just seven goals in 53 appearances.

The former PSV Eindhoven man has enjoyed a reasonable start to the season in France - but is already thinking of moving on.

"I think I'm going to Real Madrid. Yes, that's a serious goal," he told The PSV Supporter magazine.

"What's happened so far, that's God, he helps me and brings me here.
