Zlatan Ibrahimovic hints at a return for Man United ahead of the Europa League final

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is used to making the impossible seem easy - but this might be a stretch too far even for him.

The Manchester United striker posted a video on Instagram of himself walking in a swimming pool as he recovers from a serious knee injury.

The caption "Ready for the final" appeared to suggest he thinks he will be fit for next week's Europa League final against Ajax.

But while he appeared to be walking well, the Swede only underwent surgery two weeks ago, reports the Manchester Evening News. (Via the Mirror)

And his caption makes reference to the fact he will join the rest of the squad in Stockholm for the clash with Ajax on Wednesday.

Jose Mourinho confirmed on Friday Ibrahimovic will travel with the team.

He said: "Crutches for Young, Shaw and Zlatan but we all go together.

"We have a fantastic group of players, fantastic spirit since the beginning of the season.

"We spend more time travelling and in hotels than at home. We spend 140 days in hotels and that is only possible because of the spirit."

Ibrahimovic flew back from America last week on a private jet with his former AC Milan team mate Ignazio Abate.

It had been feared that the striker's career was over at the injury but his surgeon has said he will be able to play on 'for many years.'

He said: "I can’t discuss too many details, I don’t want to get in trouble with Manchester United.

"But I can tell you he’s in superb shape in all things. Healthy morphology, the quality of the bone and muscle, everything is as good as you can possibly see.

"He’s one of the top athletes I've ever touched, he is in superb shape."
