David Toniok is the latest Lotto millionaire, thanks to his participation in the game. His ticket number 19832917121, won him the Grand Prize of Sh1 million during the ninth Lotto Draw held on live television last week.

The other lucky winner was Benjamin Muinde who won Sh100,000.
These were the biggest winners among a total of 6,565 winners in the Saturday Draw verified by the Betting Control and Licensing Board (BCLB) on live national television. The lowest amount won was Sh75.

During the draw, the bonus numbers drawn were four, while the total number of winners hit 8,049. So far, 46,637 winners have benefited from the Lotto draw, whose proceeds will go towards the Kenyan team to 2016 Rio Olympics.

The winners have come from all parts of the country, which is a testimony to the popularity of the lottery.

“Lotto is serious about making a difference where it matters, having already committed Sh 15,000,000.00 towards Kenya’s 2016 Olympics preparations,” said Brian Waluchio, a director of Oxygen8 East Africa, who are operating Lotto.
