BOXING:Kenya’s Daniel Wanyonyi crowned African king

Kenya’s Daniel Wanyonyi is the new African Boxing Union (ABU) light heavyweight champion. Wanyonyi beat decorated Congolese and world champion, Matamba Debatch Postolo, on split-point decision to lift the title of the 12 round bout staged at the Grand Hôtel de Kinshasa, in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The win comes barely two weeks after another Kenyan, Francis Kimani, won the World Professional Boxing Federation (WPBF) Youth Super featherweight belt, in Kitwe, Zambia. The bout was even till the last round when Wanyonyi increased pace and outshone the host.
