A former rift valley provincial criminal investigations officer today told the international criminal court that the ethnic composition of the police force in nakuru and naivasha was so varied, it would have been impossible to direct them to ignore mungiki killings. Mohamed ibrahim amin, who was maj general hussein ali’s second defence witness, maintained that there was no evidence on the ground in the rift valley that police officers assisted the mungiki or gave them uniforms to attack civilians.
