Bomet County defends cost of bridge amid graft claims

The department of roads has defended a pedestrian bridge in Chemagel ward against claims that it was poorly built at exaggerated cost.

Victor Ng'etich, the department's accounting officer, said contrary to claims that the project cost Sh6 million, only Sh2.4 million was allocated for construction of Kirwa footbridge.
