Nakuru, Kenya - A Form Two student was brutally stabbed by unknown people at their Mwariki estate home.

The teenager, a student at Shah Lalji Nangper Academy was home alone when the Saturday incident took place.

The boy was stabbed twice in the chest and once in the back with a knife.

Inside the house, a trail of blood from the bathroom revealed how he walked to the main gate after being stabbed where he dropped dead as neighbours came to his aid.

The parents who were attending a church service within the neighbourhood rushed home after being informed to find the minor lying lifeless.

Estate security chairman, Emmanuel Kinuthia, said he was shocked to receive news of the teenager's unfortunate death.

Mr Kinuthia said neighbours who rushed to his rescue found him dead at the gate of their homestead after excessive bleeding.

The chairman said numerous incidences of insecurity have hit the area with no arrests made.

Mwangi Gichemu, a casual labourer who was working on a construction site near the homestead said it was around 1pm when he heard the boy screaming as he opened the gate.

"The boy came out crying for help and as we tried to find means of transport to take him to hospital, he fell down and died on the spot," said Mr Gichemu.

Angry residents accused police officers of laxity saying they could have arrested suspects behind the murder had they arrived at the scene on time.

They claimed it took police officers more than two hours to arrive at the scene despite the station being within a walking distance.
