Bungoma to host Sakata Challenge

Bungoma’s Kanduyi Stadium will host the third round of Safaricom-sponsored Sakata Ball Regional finals tournament this weekend.

This follows two successful rounds of the challenge in Nyeri and Nakuru where Taqwa FC and Finch Secondary School won.

Ten teams from Western region will lock horns in the event whose winner will pocket Sh100,000 and the right to represent the region in the national finals in Nairobi in August. The ten teams gunning for the Western Province include Bukende Youth Academy from Bungoma, Milo Secondary School (Webuye), Muhila Boys (Butere), Mbale High School, and Boca Juniors (Malaba).

Others are Green Devils of Lwanda, Kakamega Olympic Youth, Mumias Babes, Kigandole (Busia) and Solidarity from Kitale.

The winning team and runners up will receive a fully kitted bag containing a tracksuit, a full set of uniforms and boots for each player in addition to Sh100,000 and Sh50,000.
