Rift Valley leaders have lauded Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi and National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang'ula for showing leadership and uniting the people of Western.

The leaders led by President William Ruto's aide Farouk Kibet, Uasin Gishu Governor Jonathan Bii and Senate Majority Leader and Kericho Senator Aaron Cheruiyot said Mudavadi and Wetang'ula moved Western in the right direction of working with the government.

Speaking at Sulungai Primary School in Malava constituency, Kakamega county, over the weekend, the leaders said Rift Valley will work with the western Kenya leadership ahead of the 2027 elections and beyond.

"I want to thank our neighbours, the people of western Kenya, for giving us Musalia and Wetang'ula to work with President Ruto in Kenya Kwanza. I laud the unity portrayed by the people of western Kenya, and I want to assure them all was not in vain," Farouk said.

"We want to assure them we will also reciprocate at the opportune time. When your time comes, we will pay you back."

Governor Bii added: "Rest assured, and there is a message we, the people of Rift Valley, are sending. We will pay in kind for your support."

Senator Cheruiyot said the people of Rift Valley are happy with residents of western Kenya.

"I want to laud my senior Prime CS Mudavadi and my brother Wetang'ula for showing the people of Mulembe where we want to take Kenya," he said.

The Prime Cabinet Secretary and Speaker urged the people of Western to maintain peace and unity. They said their leadership of the Mulembe nation and other regional communities would unlock their potential for tremendous success.
