Leaders say Uhuru has no powers to remove Ruto

Allies of Deputy President William Ruto yesterday dismissed the plot to oust him as Jubilee Party deputy leader an exercise in futility.

The MPs said President Uhuru Kenyatta has no powers to fire Dr Ruto as Jubilee Party deputy leader and it was only the National Delegates Convention (NDC) that can ratify his removal.
