Vice -President Kalonzo Musyoka led his party supporters to Kajiado North constituency to campaign for the Wiper Democratic Party candidate Solomon Kinyanjui.

The team traversed Kerarapon, Embul Bul, Veterinary, Ngong town, Matasia, Kiserian, and Ongata Rongai to drum up support for the party candidate.

The VP appealed to the constituents to elect Kinyanjui who he said, was better placed to promote peace in the cosmopolitan constituency.

He assured that the WDP candidate would complete projects that were initiated by the former MP, the late George Saitoti.

“Peace and tranquility that the late Saitoti stood for need to be guarded zealously and I’m confident that Kinyanjui will do exactly that and unite the people of this constituency if elected,” Kalonzo said.

He urged the electorate to turn up in large numbers on the Election Day and vote wisely for Kinyanjui.

He asked Kenyans to reject politicians promoting negative ethnicity and instead elect people with integrity.

“Be Kenyan first and reject tribalism that will threaten national unity,” he said.

Kalonzo paid glowing tribute to the late Saitoti describing him a true patriot who stood for peace and unity. He said that he had entered a Memorandum of Understanding with the late Saitoti and Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta to work together to win in the next general elections.

“I am saying that I still hold to the agreement and will work with Uhuru and other like-minded leaders and political parties to ensure a clear win at the polls,” he said. Earlier, while addressing party agents at Kinyanjui’s residence, Kalonzo urged the agents to ensure the election was free and fair.

On his presidential bid, the Vice-President assured that he would oversee full implementation of the constitution and promote economy if elected the president.
