A granny has been charged for beating her grandson for trespassing on her compound while herding cattle.

Angeline Adongo, 67, is alleged to have hit her grandson with a wooden rod. Court documents stated that the grandson sustained injuries in his upper limbs and left ear.

The prosecution charged that Adongo, while fetching firewood, spotted the 13-year-old boy herding cattle in her compound and assaulted him.

Police said the incident happened on May 9 within Kolwa location in Nyando sub-county.

Adongo denied the charges and was released on Sh2,000 cash bail.
