KCSE candidates caught smoking bhang in Kisii

Police in Marani Sub County, Kisii, were forced to fire in the air to disperse rowdy students caught smoking bhang at Kenyoro Secondary on Sunday night.

According to the school Deputy Principal Bogonko Abea, a total of 14 students were in class in the night but suddenly walked out and ran towards the playground.

Soon after they started smoking bhang. The school security guard alerted the Deputy Principal before they called in the police.

The 14 were later joined by another group of 100 boys in breaking window panes forcing police to shoot in the air. They all ran to the nearby maize plantation.

The school administration estimates the damages at Sh 15,000.

Kisii County Police Coordinator Martin Kibet has confirmed that the students later Monday morning reported to school and have been doing their exams.
