Kendu Bay Member of county assembly George Otieno claims his life is in danger

By James Omoro | September 23rd 2014

Kisumu, Kenya: A county assembly member has said his life is in danger.

George Otieno of Kendu Bay Town ward in Karachuonyo constituency has recorded a statement at the Kosele CID office saying some people in the area want to kill him.

Mr Otieno said he was on Friday evening forced to change vehicles after he noticed that he had been trailed to a meeting in the ward.

"The people I left to take care of my car told me some men tried to open the door to find out whether I was inside or not. I opted to stay away from my house and did not even spend the night there," Otieno said.

Rachuonyo North OCPD Joseph Kisombe said they were investigating the matter.
