Bonchari MP mourns Saitoti, Ojodeh

By Standard Reporter

Bonchari Member of Parliament Charles Onyancha has expressed deep sorrow at the loss of colleagues George Saitoti and Orwa Ojodeh.

Mr Onyancha, a fellow ODM legislator, who by virtue of his position in the Parliamentary Accounts Committee and House Business Committee, worked closely with Ojodeh.

“He died going to raise money for a just cause in his constituency. The people of Bonchari remember Ojodeh fondly for the millions of shillings he helped to raise at Mogumo market, and the first time a Cabinet minister toured that deep into our constituency, to ‘bring development’,” Onyancha said in a statement to The Standard.

“Hon Saitoti and Hon Ojodeh’s mastery of parliamentary custom and business will be sorely missed and the mastery and take-no-prisoners approach that they brought to the sensitive Internal Security docket, more especially when Kenya is at war abroad with terrorists in Somalia and intensified crime within the borders. May God rest their souls in eternal peace,” Onyancha’s statement read in part.
