Veterinary Board probes EALA MP for alleged illegal veterinary practice

Offenders found guilty under the vetenary provisions face a fine of up to Sh100,000.

The Kenya Veterinary Board has launched investigations into East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) Member David Ole Sankok, following a video posted on his Facebook page on August 4, 2025, in which he is seen injecting cattle with what is believed to be prescription-only veterinary medicine.

The video, captioned "Ramatare... just transformed myself from a member of parliament to a veterinarian to inject my cattle", has sparked outrage among veterinary professionals and members of the public, prompting formal complaints to the Board.
