Former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has written to the Bolt taxi company complaining of indecent behaviour by one of its drivers.

Through his lawyer, Dunstan Omari, Sonko stated that he is filing the complaint on behalf of two women who had booked the cab from Adlife Plaza in Kilimani with Gachie town being their destination.

“He has been entrusted to represent the victims in this matter because the Bolt Company is a multi-national company, a fact which may intimidate the innocent victims in this matter at hand,” reads the letter in part.

Omari says that Sonko received two videos of indecent sexual exposure which occurred on October 23, 2023.

“In the said video, one of your bolt drivers indecently exposed himself to two female passengers and committed an indecent act while ferrying the two passengers, one seated in front and the other in the back.”

The lawyer says that the victims aged 27 and 21 were forced to cut short their trip at Ole Nguruone Road in Lavington after noticing the act.

Sonko now wants the company to take quick legal action against the driver, failure to which will amount to the company entertaining the said sexual offence committed.
