**Former Inspector-General of Police Joseph Boinne**t. [David Njaaga, Standard]

Former Inspector General (IG) of Police Joseph Boinnet has been appointed the new Deputy National Security Advisor.

His appointment by President William Ruto was formalised in a Gazette Notice dated March 6, 2023, by the Head of the Public Service Felix Koskei.
