Lawyers have backed former Chief Justice David Maraga’s advice for President Uhuru Kenyatta to dissolve Parliament for failing to enact legislation on two-thirds gender rule.

Under the 2010 constitution, Kenya had five years to enact laws ensuring no more than two-thirds of members of elective public bodies are of the same gender.
