Seven bodies that had been lying at the Mama Lucy Hospital have been identified.

The seven bodies were part of nine bodies that had remained unclaimed for close to four months at the hospital facility.

The hospital management is now calling on their families to come and collect them.

The Hospital management had on September 8 written to homicide detectives to help in identifying the bodies that have been lying at the hospital's morgue.

Mama Lucy Medical Superintendent Musa Mohamed said the results from the bodies that had earlier on been taken for tests were released on Saturday.

Two bodies are yet to be identified.

Those identified are Eugine Wabure Wechuli (ID number 31942404), Peter Macharia Mwango (ID 35626948), Samuel Etili Aiyamai (ID 29601734), Daniel Oruru Amuzama (14433995)

Others are Raphael Kwetu Kasamani (25780813), Dismas Leokono (21852126) and Benjamin Boma Wasike (24205386).

According to Dr Musa, most of the bodies are victims of road accidents.

Two cases are said to be as a result of natural illnesses.

Dr. Musa said the hospital is still working on ways of identifying the two remaining bodies.

"Occasionally, we receive accident victims whose identity is not known or have no relatives accompanying them when being admitted for treatment and that is why we involved the homicide police to help us," said Dr. Musa.
