Kibra MP Ken Okoth has been admitted to Nairobi hospital after his condition worsened.

Okoth who has been battling colorectal cancer for several months was rushed to hospital last night.

The MP made his first public appearance about 10 days ago after returning from France where he had been receiving treatment.

He attended the Kibra Music Fest at Moi Girls School, Nairobi, accompanied by other City leaders.

Okoth who exuded confidence hailed Kenyans for praying for him during his time in France and vowed to overcome the disease in the long run.

In March, Okoth told Kenyans that he was managing stage four colorectal cancer and will survive.

Okoth, 41, was recently lauded by State House for his bravery in his fight against cancer and urged Kenyans to emulate him.

Through a statement issued by Spokesperson Kanze Dena on Tuesday, State House lauded Okoth’s bravery in his fight with cancer and urged Kenyans to support each other in battling the monster.

“Allow me to mention a great son of Kenya, the Member of Parliament for Kibra Constituency Mheshimiwa Ken Okoth who has recently returned to the country after months of treatment in France,” read a statement issued by Spokesperson Kanze Dena.

Okoth has been getting immense love from Kenyans who have been impressed by his determination.
