NAIROBI; KENYA: Cases instituted by two relatives of President Uhuru Kenyatta over a report implicating them in illegal land acquisition will be heard next Wednesday.

High Court Judge Mumbi Ngugi on Tuesday directed the advocate representing Ngengi Muigai and his sister Beth Mugo to appear before another judge for the hearing.

The two cases will be consolidated with others filed against the Truth Justice and Reconciliation Commission before the hearing commences. High Court Judge David Majanja last week indicated to the advocate, Jennifer Shamalla that the cases will be consolidated and heard jointly. The cases will be heard by Justice Weldon Korir of the Judicial Review Division.

Ngengi and Mugo want the court to issue orders to TJRC to expunge sections of its report mentioning them adversely.
