Sergio Ramos has sent a message to Mohamed Salah after he was forced off in the Champions League final.

The Liverpool star was reduced to tears as he left the field during the first-half of the showpiece clash in Kiev.

Salah and Ramos had tussled for the ball when the Egyptian's arm became locked in his opponent's and the pair fell to the ground.

Ramos was heavily criticised for his part in the injury with some Liverpool fans believing the Spaniard set out to deliberately injure his opponent after he was pictured laughing with an official as Salah came off.

But the Real skipper sent a tweet to Salah, wishing him a speedy recovery.

"Sometimes football shows you it's good side and other times the bad," he tweeted.

"Above all, we are fellow pros. Get well soon Salah. The future awaits you."

Meanwhile, the Egyptian FA have revealed Salah could still make the World Cup in Russia. The initial suspicion was that he had dislocated his shoulder and Salah left the stadium in Kiev with his arm in a sling.

Reds boss Jurgen Klopp admitted the injury was likely a bad one but Egypt are hopeful he could be fit to play this summer.

The Egypt FA tweeted to say their team doctor had spoken to Liverpool and Salah's x-ray had showed ligament damage rather than a fracture.

"During the telephone follow-up conducted by the national team delegation in Italy to check on the status of Mohammed Salah, Liverpool officials said Liverpool that X-rays were carried out on Salah's shoulder and showed that the injury was a shock in the shoulder joints," the tweet read.

"Dr. Abu Ela expressed his optimism that Salah to make the World Cup according to this diagnosis."

Salah's goals led Egypt to the World Cup and they get their campaign underway on June 15 against Uruguay.

All 32 nations must submit their final 23-man squad on June 4 and as yet it remains unclear if Salah will be involved.
