The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission CEO has been caught on camera watching protesters outside the Anniversary Towers building, Nairobi.

Ezra Chiloba was watching the National Super Alliance supporters on Tuesday outside the IEBC Headquarters as they waited for the Opposition leaders to arrive for the demonstration to begin.

In an interview with KTN’s Sophia Wanuna, Chiloba was adamant that he would not resign from the electoral agency ahead of the repeat presidential election slated for October 26.

The embattled CEO noted that the protests were a constitution right but called on politicians to work together with the commission to resolve the poll stalemate.

Chiloba maintained that the electoral body intended to procure election material from the Dubai-based printing company, Al-Ghurair, because it signed a two-year contract with it before the August 8 General Election.

He also pointed out that Kenyans should remain united and work together to ensure that there will be a smooth process come October.
