Central Bank of Kenya's 25 million music fete sponsorship

Central Bank of Kenya supported the just-concluded 91st edition of the annual Kenya Music Festival to the tune of Sh25 million, Governor Patrick Njoroge has disclosed.

Dr Njoroge said the bank was glad to be associated with the fete that attracts over nine million participants from early childhood to university level.

“Last year, we sponsored the festival for the first time and I am told over nine million students sang our set piece ‘Celebrating 50 years’,” he said when he presented trophies to winners at the gala show last week.

During the festivals, a set piece on financial literacy composed by Kenyatta University’s Sylvester Otieno was sang in a number of classes, with a choral verse on the same also being recited.

Thogoto Teachers College bagged Sh550,000 for several wins.
