The Kenya national Under-18 athletics team that took part in the IAAF World Championships last week will be retained to prepare for the 2024 Olympic Games.

The Athletics Kenya (AK) sSenior vice president in charge of competitions, Paul Mutwii, said most of the athletes will have matured for the 2024 Games. Kenya finished fourth in the event at Kasarani with four gold, seven silver, and four bonze medals behind South Africa, China, and Cuba.

Mutwii said AK will work closely with the relevant ministries to draw up a training programme. [Ernest Ndunda]
