Former Leicester City coach Claudio Ranieri has spoken out on his sacking as Leicester City coach.

Ranieri who had attended a ceremony at at prison in Italy to honor regional coaches opened up about how it felt being fired by a club nine months after winning the Premier League.

“Thinking of Leicester, the first thing that comes to mind is the sense of surprise, even more than bitterness,” said Ranieri.

“I have been through a lot in my long career, but never anything like this.

“It was a shock, but in the end these things are part of football.”
