For Hillary Clinton more than anyone else, Donald Trump's inauguration was a bitter pill to swallow and while she flashed her pearly whites with a dazzling smile for the cameras and the cheering crowds in the Capitol, there was a moment of darkness.

The former Democratic nominee, plastered on a smile in the face of the stinging defeat while Russian hacking reports continue to emerge.

Tweeting before the inauguration ceremony, Hillary wrote: "I'm here today to honor our democracy and its enduring values. I will never stop believing in our country and its future."
