Conjoined twins who share liver born at Coast General Hospital in Mombasa

Newly born Conjoined twins recuperating in the ICU ward at the Coast General Hospital in Mombasa County on Thursday,028th April,2016 evening. Hospital Administrator Dr.Iqbal Khandwalla said the baby twin boys born, weighing 2 kgs each at 9.30 am in the same day through a Caesarean are stable including their Mother. He said preliminary examinations indicate that the twins joined around their abdomen share a Liver and bladder but will be flown by AMREF to Kenyatta Hospital as soon as possible for advanced care. Conjoined twins were born at Coast General Hospital in Mombasa yesterday.

Addressing journalists at the hospital's intensive care unit, Chief Administrator Iqbal Khandwalla said the twins weighed 4.6kg at birth.
