"I almost gave up": Eunice Njeri opens up on marriage at 38, battling fibroids and having 'miracle baby'

In the video, the "Nimekubali" hitmaker recounts her journey in marriage and her battle with fibroids. She revealed that after years of being single, she nearly compromised her values but ultimately chose to wait on God. Reflecting on her journey, she shared that she remained single for a long time and finally got married at 38. She recalled how she started questioning whether she was too serious and considered lowering her standards. However, she ultimately chose to trust God rather than make a decision she would regret. "I was single for so long and finally got married at 38 years," said Eunice. "Nothing was missing, everything was intact but there was nobody. I started telling myself, maybe I should compromise. Maybe I am too serious which I am. But then I looked and said if I tried God would punish me." With all the challenges she faced, the gospel artiste admitted that she almost walked away from the church. Frustrated, she questioned why God had not answered her prayers despite her years of faithful service. However, she decided to remain steadfast in her faith, stating that although she wanted to run from God, she ultimately chose to continue serving Him. "I wanted to go and run away from God as far as possible. Kanisa ilikuwa imenionyesha moto but then I prayed and asked God to help me," added Eunice. The "Uka" singer also spoke about her struggles with fibroids, revealing that doctors were shocked when she conceived. Due to her condition, she had been told that pregnancy would be difficult. She battled insecurities due to excessive bleeding but remained hopeful by reading Isaiah 53 daily for a year. Eventually, she experienced healing and is now a mother. "I had massive fibroids, but now I have a child. I used to sing about the bleeding woman in the Bible, and then it happened to me. I wore black all year, fearing excessive bleeding. When I got pregnant, doctors were perplexed. I was healed, and I am here today to encourage people that God can heal them. You are healed in Jesus' name," she testified. Eunice urged people to trust in God, and her testimony resonated deeply with many. The comment section was flooded with inspiring messages from people sharing their own experiences. One social media user wrote, "I am 44 and single, but I am not giving up on God. He is all I have." Another said, "I am 35 and single, but I am also not giving up. One day, God will bring my man." This is not the first time Eunice Njeri has opened up about her marriage. She previously made headlines after annulling her short-lived union with gospel musician Isaac Bukasa, known as "Izoo," just 24 hours after their wedding. Unlike a divorce, an annulment legally nullifies a marriage as though it never took place. In a past post, she explained that although she and Isaac had gone to the altar on November 27, 2016, she quickly realised she couldn't go through with it. She left for Kenya the same day and chose to focus on her ministry. "To all who supported Isaac and me, I am grateful. To those who were hurt in the process, I apologise. The marriage was annulled. No papers were signed. We both chose to go our separate ways," she wrote at the time. However, Isaac's sister, Lize Bukasa, later claimed that Eunice had signed the marriage documents, contradicting her statements. She shared an image of a signed document and insisted that the papers had indeed been signed. In response, Eunice clarified that in Texas, the final certificate is signed in court. She explained that while she had signed a marriage licence as a formality for the photos, she had chosen not to submit it, allowing it to expire instead of pursuing a divorce. Her decision sparked mixed reactions, with some criticising her while others applauded her honesty. Many supporters comforted her, praising her bravery in sharing her story. In August 2022, after the General Elections, the "Bwana Yesu" singer revealed that she had found love again, married in 2021, and welcomed a son. Eunice shared that she met her husband, identified as Mr Muthii, in 2019, married him in 2021, and had a baby in 2022. She posted a photo of herself and her husband holding hands with the caption, "So, in other news... 2019-met Mr Muthii, 2021-married him, 2022-blessed with a bouncing baby boy!!! Glory to God!!!" Eunice has kept details about her son private but mentioned in the viral video that his birth may have contributed to her healing from fibroids. She expressed gratitude, saying doctors were surprised by how her body changed after pregnancy. The award-winning gospel artiste, originally from Nanyuki, is currently 42 years old and remains one of Kenya's most renowned gospel musicians. She is known for hit songs such as "Wanishangaza," "Nguvu Ya Msalaba," "Tumeshinda," and "Tambarare." On YouTube, she has 351,000 subscribers, and on Instagram, she boasts 135,000 followers.
