What would happen to your family if you died today?

Being a widowed mum of two, I know the realities of death. Luckily my husband had left a life insurance policy and I invested the money in the stock market and got an education policy for them. They are my beneficiaries and if I were to die today they would still complete their education. I have also appointed my sister as their legal guardian and I am almost paying off a mortgage so that no matter what, they will have a roof over their heads.

I have never really thought about it. This year, I will draw up a will because I have investments everywhere and God knows my family would not give my wife and children peace if I died today.

I always assumed that if anything should happen to me my mum would take up my child but my sister died and I saw the reluctance she had taking over my nephew and that shook me up. I am bringing him up now. Being a single mum, and without a stable income, my first priority right now is to get my life straight for them. Hopefully I will live long enough to see them to adulthood.
