County Commissioner John Elungata has ordered chiefs and community elders to embark on door-to-door campaign to mobilise unregistered voters to the registration centres.

He said the strategy is expected to help increase the number of registered voters as they seek to achieve the target.

He spoke yesterday at Gitugi market when he accompanied Transport and Infrastructure Cabinet Secretary James Macharia during inspection of St Mary- Gitugi- Njumbi- Mioro road.

He said it was the Government's role to mobilise all Kenyans to register as voters to participate in the August 8 polls. -Boniface Gikandi
