MP Alfred Keter vows to lead ‘thousands’ to evict Anne Waiguru from office as 41 new MPs sign up for impeachment motion

Devolution Cabinet Secretary Anne Waiguru

Nairobi, Kenya: At least 41 new MPS have signed up for the impeachment motion for the removal of Devolution Cabinet Secretary Anne Waiguru from office. This brings the total number of signatures to 129.

The mover of the Motion MP Alfred Keter (Nandi Hills) says 30 MPS are from ‘Central Kenya and Upper Eastern" hitherto bastions of Jubilee loyalists in the August House.

Keter has also vowed to lead "thousands" to evict Waiguru from office if she doesn't quit within the next seven days.

"Impeachment is a process, but money is being stolen everyday. Therefore, if she does not resign by next week, I will lead thousands of Kenyan taxpayers affected by corruption to deal with her and remove her from office," said Keter at a news conference in Parliament Buildings on Wednesday.
